DIT 4th Strategic Forum
(hosting the 20th Biennial Congress & General Assembly)
Dubai Techno Park, through its Science and Technology arm “Dubai institute of Technology (DIT)”, will be hosting this year in collaboration with WAITRO, the DIT 4th Strategic Forum holding the 20th Biennial Congress & General Assembly, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, October 11~14, 2010. The general Theme is “ Leadership for Innovation”.
The main objectives of this Forum is:
• To provide a platform to explore concepts, strategies, relevant models pertaining "Leadership for Innovation".
• To provide ideas in stimulating Leadership for Innovation
• To share know-how and best practices.
• To exchange ideas and experience.
• To encouraging research and development of technologies for the Industrial worldwide.
• To exchange and disseminate information and promote communication.
• To cooperate and communicate with national and international governmental, institutional and private agencies in matters relating to Industrial Technology research and development.
Under the theme Leadership for Innovation, the forum will encompass various sessions, listed below:
1. Leadership - 21st Century Innovation Leaders: Roles & Parameters
2. Finance - R&D Financing: Innovative Mechanism
3. IP & Management - IP & Portfolio Management
4. Young Scientists - Young Scientists: Development Programs & Opportunities
5. Knowledge Transfer - Knowledge Transfer: Challenges & Best Practices
6. Policies & Procedures - Government Policies & Procedures: Enabling Innovation ecosystem
7. Public Private Partnership - PPP towards sustainable industrial growth
8. Science & Society - Science & Society: A platform for a value based economy
Call for Papers
Participants wishing to present a paper at the conference are invited to write papers on the above eight subjects. Deadline for abstract submissions: 30th April 2010.

Application should contain the following information:
• Title of paper and short summary of maximum 800 words, not more than 3 pages A4
• For every author - first name and surname, address, telephone, fax and e-mail should be
provided. If there is more than one author, please indicate who will give the presentation.
• Please indicate the session name and preferential subject for the abstract
• Please send a separate application for each abstract
Authors will be notified of abstract acceptance not later than 31st May 2010.
Deadline for submission of full paper will be 10 September 2010.
