WTA paid a visit to our member city Brisbane. Brisbane is the sister city of Daejeon since 2002 who has been a long-lasting partner of World Technopolis Association(WTA) and Daejeon Metropolitan City.
Commemorating the 20th Anniversary of WTA, the delegation shared the details of flagship programs; invited innovators from different sectors to share their activities about smart city. During the visit, the delegation had several meetings with individuals, institutions, and cities including Brisbane, Ipswich, Queensland University of Technology, and Griffith University.
Especially, the delegation had the opportunity to meet the representatives of the Council of Mayors South East Queensland(SEQ) to introduce WTA and our annual events to the members of SEQ. The Council of Mayors(SEQ) is an independent policy advocacy organization to represent the interests of South East Queensland region. Along with the meetings, we've enjoyed our time to meet with six Korean students who are taking part in a Brisbane City Council internship program. On this occasion, we were able to hear about their studying, living, and working life in Brisbane and encouraged their overseas experience.
