2009 UNESCO-WTA
International Training Workshop

OVERVIEW
The workshop, as a kind of capacity-building activity on science park governance, has been organized by international cooperation between WTA (World Technopolis Association) and UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) since 2005. This workshop aims to regularly upgrade the knowledge of managers or future managers of science and technology parks in developing countries with a view to marshalling science technology and innovation for sustainable development.
In particular, this workshop provides an opportunity to analyze and discuss current issues and problems being faced by special agenda on Green Growth based on the SciencePark Initiatives.
 
Within this framework, the 2009 workshop’s objectives basically are:
 
ü   Promoting the knowledge transfer between developing and developed countries
ü   Networking among science parks and innovative clusters in global context
ü   Establishing a cooperative regional network among science parks or technopolises
ü   Sharing the valuable information and experience in science park development
